Have you heard them? What do you think about them? I don't have their album, but I really like their single "Take Me Out" and I've sampled a few of the tracks online. I also do follow the British music press somewhat (not religiously though) and they're all over it right now.
What do you all think?

It's a good album; there are plenty of good songs on it. Get ready for it to be overplayed/overexposed though. It's going to be the new "Jet" album.

2. They're good. A little over-hyped, perhaps, but not a bad group. |

3. They're okay. Not the second coming of rock, but they're okay. |

To me their sound is too bland. I'd hate to compare the two, but FF has the ability to sound an awful lot like the Strokes at times. I don't know. I think I'm really bored with this post-punk cool scene.

Now I can't shut up about 'em, they're actually pretty damn good. I hear they put on a kickin' live show.

6. Heard the album on a road trip this weekend |

It compelled me enough to ask my friend (whose CD it was), "Who is this?" and that's not something I'll do if it's not interesting.
Pretty decent stuff; the guitarist comes up with a lot of good parts, but the singer is a little too self-consciously campy and the drummer has a tendency to revert to disco beats which gives much of the material a same-y feel.
My feeling is that this is a great CD to define and brighten up the summer too, but I have a feeling it won't age that well. Take that for what it's worth. If 15 bucks seems like a bargain to enhance your life for a few months and then be largely forgotten, go for it.

I have the cd, I've seen the band live. They give a fun live show and they dress well. It's worth the $15. :-)
