Society is a failure.
Why? Because we let people fall through the cracks. This is probably why suicide happens. If we get help, we are considered weak. Nobody ever looks out for anybody else and we continue to damage each other. I am sad. I am angry. I am shocked. I am angry again. I am sad again. I am shocked again. Maybe I am not totally right about what I just said. But there is no compassion. When one's definition of compassion comes from the likes of George W. Bush, then this world is in trouble.

1. We are not weak if we get help
Say you are running through a factory and you accidentally step into the top of a big meat grinder and your foot gets chewed off before the automatic cut off kicks in.

Then, you go to the hospital to keep from bleeding to death. Does that mean you are weak?

6. How would society know if you sought psychological help?
I mean, unless you spilled your guts, including the most intimate details, all over this message board for all to read?

2. society

thats why it is sometimes hard for me to support so called utopian societies (socialist, marxist) because we don't deserve to live in a perfect world because humanity is inherently flawed. we took whatever "society" our ancestors gave us and changed it to suit our tastes. no matter what perfect society we forge, our children will take it for granted and fuck it up. I'm sure america seemed incredible when it was founded but give it 200 years, and yup, leave it to their descendants to trash it. sometimes its tough not to feel like a nihilist when you look at what is supposed to be the nation with the most freedom and opportunity.
