Crazy dream last night. I was dreaming that I was..........
hanging from a branch over water. I was beginning to get tired so I thought what the hell I'll let go and fall into the water.
When I let go I went crashing down and came to a hard stop. I hurt like hell. Hit the side table with my head and my ankle smashed into the wood bed frame. Turns out I fell out of the bed ( a 2-1/2 foot drop) and hit the floor with a thud.
A rude awakening. LOL

Thought I would share.

1. Did you wet the bed?
Maybe that's where all the water in your dream came from.

4. In This Case,
sounds like your dream was recreating your physical situation pretty well, especially the proprioceptive (balance and body feeling) part.

It sounds like you decided to let go in your dream and then your body responded. However in dream sleep, your muscles are normally in a state of relaxation and do not respond to conscious commands. So it's possible that you were starting to slip anyway and that was incorporated into your dream as a decision to let go.
