I'm coming to america in july & will watch Fahrenheit 911 |
|
that's on my agenda! lord only know when they'll release the film here. the question is, will i be deported if the cops in america catch me with ticket stubs to Fahrenheit 911? i feel ridiculous asking this, but america has changed... that ashcroft is so creepy, his boys will use any pretext to harrass a non-white visitor. and i dont want to get stuck in a jail with sadistic whiteboys shoving fuck knows what up my skinny ass.... know what i'm saying?

1. You will be catched just when you arrive at the airport |
|
and will be confronted with you anti-american DU posts and your anti-american amazon.com orders.
Yesterday, I saw a report in German TV. A Canadian businessman who emigrated to Canada from Syria 15 years ago was deported to Syria when he tried to enter the US for business purposes. He had visited the US many times before. In Syria, he was kept in a dark cell for 10 months and brutally beaten and interrogated. (That is no joke)

by the way, i am NOT anti-american. i participate in this forum because i do not like the direction your government is taking the whole world in. lord knows there are too many problems in my own country (india) that i should be more concerned about, but i have a thing for foreign affairs, and the socio-political churning in post-911 america fascinates me. besides, i feel really nice here in DU. not least for the star that i got next to my name thanks to an anonymous donor. thank you once again, whoever you are!

3. I might have to travel to the US on business from time to time... |
|
I was a bit concerned that I might have trouble because of my un-american DU posts. I heard about the Syrian/Canadian too.

5. Your employer will not be amused |

when you cannot enter the US without problems, I guess.
I am a little bit afraid that might become a real career problem. But probably I am overly paranoid.
