Gooood Friday Morning DU!
How is everyone this F-I-N-E morning? I'm good, it's rainy here which sucks because it was so pretty yesterday! What are your plans for the weekend? :donut:

23. The interview went great
I come in there he tells me it will be very short, so he starts off asking me a few questions. I convinced him I great a work ethic(I think I do), and I think I gave a few good answers to some of the other questions he asks. He then says I see you best fit in one of the management training positions and goes over the details and asks me if I could see myself or interested in doing that. I said definately. They way he was talking it was as if I already got the job. He then asks me how old I was, I told him my age and he just looks at me for a few seconds. Then he is like "Oh.... wow..." then asks me when I turn 18(ironically my birthday is a day before his) then he writes down his number and says "Please(out of all the applications I filled out, one person says please) give me a call if you're still on the market when you turn 18, I would be very interested in having someone like you working for us." Anyways I was disappointed but felt great I did so well at the same time, I guess it's back to filling out more apps.

The 2nd question. I felt like shit because when I was waiting for the bus, when it arrived I pulled some change out of my pocket, only 30 cents. (it costs 60) So I had to walk 18 freakin' blocks in 105+ degree weather, I did stop by Morgan's house but she wasn't home. So when I got home I seen that I had a sunburn on the top of my head, that has never happened to me before. I was so exhausted I crashed out when I got home so I didn't take pics, probaly today I will. Also I have a pain in my lower left leg, funny thing, my neck feels ok.

26. Well, that rocks!
When will you be 18?? At least you know that you'll have a position (hopefully) there. That's awesome!

I'm sorry! That sucks! If it makes you feel better - my back and chest are sunburnt too. :(

Sunburns suck! :( I also have one on my back as well.

I'll turn 18 November 29th(a long ways away), yesturday in the "What is your age thread" I don't know if you seen it but I put something like I am happy with who I am, I just wish I was 18. Reason why because I can do alot of things, I just can't do them because I'm not 18. That wasn't the first time something like that has happened, ironically yesturday was just an example of what I was talking about.

35. That's true!
But when you turn 18, you'll be wishing you were 21 because there are a lot of things you still are unable to do at 18. That's how it is with me anyways. (I'm not just talking about the drinking thing).

What else is there that you can't do besides purchasing alcohol? I know some jobs require to you be a little older but I don't know other then that. Another thing I won't be able to vote either by 24 days or so, that sucks. :(

I am extremely exhausted, I feel like just resting today. Plus all the pain my body feels right now I sooo feel like taking a warm bath Maybe I'll end up being lazy the whole day, all I have to do is watch and learn from my dogs so that can't be too hard. I'll stop by a friend's house briefly around noon. Later on if someone comes over I may go out and do something, hopefully whoever does come, comes when the sun goes down. I may take a today.

It's not a big or hard job, but my folks live a couple of hours away.

Then I have to get it back here without breaking down, that's fun bit.

Still keeping up your exercises? I'm impressed, I do a few every evening, nothing much, just trying to tone my bum & tummy a little.

I've been trying to do at least 40 minutes of exercise a day. Yesterday I went to the pool and did laps for awhile. hehe toning your bum.. hehe. That's amusing. :)

34. I'm used to breaking down now,
it's happened 3 times now. (3 major break downs) I think I've saved more in petrol getting towed places than my breakdown cover costs. I was driving from Cambridge to Edinburgh (about 350 miles) & broke down 20 miles out of Cambridge - I got towed the rest of the 330 miles. tee hee.

My car is a shiny, 1966 Triumph Spitfire, fun to drive, but only if you don't have to get where your going.

I use my bike (pedal) or the train to go places. My car is for fun, for driving around small roads on warm summer days, with the wind in my hair and a beautiful girl in the passenger seat. Then stopping somewhere nice for a picnic, a smooch and a walk. Eventually stopping off at a country pub or restuarant for dinner on the way home.

Aaahhh

Just did the "fat boy mall walk". I managed to do 3.6 miles in one hour. My heartrate was up to 130/60 I think.
It's 3:09 am and 50 degrees, very light breeze with high clouds...
whew...I'm sweating and just a little out of breath...but I feel good.
Well the one sure sign that you're getting old is that the skinny little neice that used to throw rocks at your head gets married...boy am I feeling old!

The skies have been clear here all week. That front came down from the midwest.

New month, new miles. Ran 4 mi, relatively level path. Long run tomorrow, and the knee feels good! Pain pills help.

BTW, as we say at RenFest, Get thee some fresh sunscreen!

Hopefully you won't have to swim, just wade.

These pills are natural and don't knock you out. It's the run itself that knocks me out.

I'll try for 6 miles in the mornng. Then I'm gonna fire up the grill tomorrow and try my hand at grilling all day. And, yes, I have a bucket of water at hand. Then I'll go to watch the soccer match, and last day of RenFest on Sunday. I'll be the cavalier in my big plumed hat.

And use that sunscreen. You don't want to be 25 and look 42, do ya?

lol. Swim, wade, it's all the same. I'll get wet either way!

If I ran for 4 miles, I'd be a little more than knocked out. I think you'd have to take my happy ass to the ER and let them try to revive me.

6 miles?!?!? SERIOUSLY?!? You definitely have to let me know how that turns out for you. GOOD LUCK! Grilling huh? What's on the menu? Think you can overnight some of that my way? :)

25?? What's that?? 42?? What's that??

72. It can't get worse
Looks like the rain is moving away, so you should have a relatively dry afternoon.

For a run, 10k equals 6.2mi, so I need to be able to run that--and for playing soccer, too. I can do it!

The grill is a freebie table top with no controls a friend gave me when he moved. Cooking well is gonna take practice. I'm just now lighting the fire well. I should be ready for company in about 3 more weekends. Menu: fish, shrimp, grilled veggies, grilled tofu (had to try), poblano peppers, stuffed and not stuffed.

I forgot, you're such a youngling you're invincible! :P

73. I am NOT a youngling!
I may only be 18, but I'm old at heart (no kidding, I've got the bad knees to prove it). :D

6.2 miles. Damn. I'm sorry, that just hurts me even thinking about it! You can do it though, I have COMPLETE faith in you!

I wish I could say all that sounds reallly great, but I'm a pretty picky eater. BUT, if I were to eat that stuff, I'm sure your's would be the best!

76. I'll work on the peppers
Most everyone likes stuffed peppers!

For the knees, are you familiar with glucosine and chondroitin? Studies have shown their effectiveness.

18? congrats! be young and enjoy it now, while you can still stay up all night and party!

51. How did you know I love being called darlin'?
It's so cute and so sweet. *blush* Yeah...

Collapse into your bed, right? When does the LOTR marathon start? Will it be accompanied by alcohol? lol. I'm doing pretty good, just sore. :) Wishing I didn't have to work this weekend!

54. I'm sorry you have to work hun
 At least you're making money, right?? (I'm trying very hard to see the good side of this...)

I'm not sure when the LOTR will start, but it most definitely will involve alcohol and other substances. Chances are good I won't be left alone though, and I'll probably wind up hanging out with the guys, but I suppose that's okay too. The girlfriend is out of town til Monday :-( so I should get some time in with them. Tuesday night we're all going out for my birthday and I'm taking Wednesday (the day of my birthday) off, so I'm in store for some good times. :-)

What've you been up to lately darlin?

(btw, I called you that once and you told me how much you liked it, so I keep doing it. :hi:)

57. It's okay, it pays the bills!
Money is probably the only good thing about the situation. That, and it's going to rain all weekend so it's not like I would be able to do too much had I not been working. (I appreciate your positive attitude though - don't see too much of those these days.)

haha other substances?? Bad, bad, bad! :spank: It really sucks that your gf is out of town, I'm sorry to hear that. Now THAT would've made for an interesting weekend and lots of stories! (trying to control my jealousy hehe). You should definitely go chill with the boys. Isn't there some kind of game you guys could watch? lol

Haven't really been up to too much. Just working and trying not to miss my boy. Plus I'm trying to plan a trip to see him and that's always difficult when we're both not sure of what's going on. That's pretty much it with me. Boring life, I know.

Well you just be careful using that word and other cute ones! I could get spoiled!

75. Me, deserve? Not sure about that one.
He's a marine stationed in Camp LeJeune, NC. :( And he's in a field op right now that was originally supposed to last 12 days (with British troops) and now it's turned into 21 days which messed up the weekend I had plans to see him. 'Tis okay, however, we're just rescheduling. He's about 8 hours away from me. It's really hard but at the same time, I couldn't see myself being with anyone but him.

(thanks for asking btw, I needed to get some of that off my chest)

And I'm terribly sorry to hear he's been detained. At least he's still in the country though, right?

Any time you need to vent, you are more than welcome to hit that little AIM buddy icon next to my name, okay darlin?
