Are you thinking of coloring your hair?
I am. I have blah, boring brown hair. I'm thinking of either coloring it blond, or shaving my head completely.

1. Shave half, bleach the remaining side.
You'll get a lot of attention.
;-)

5. Interesting idea, but which way?
Do I color the right side of my head and shave the left or the other way around?

The execution of this is VERY important. :-)

10. For a totally new look
Shave the back half and let the front half grow long.

2. Boring?
Haven't you heard? Brown is the new blond!

Personally, I like putting dark red/auburn streaks in my brown hair.

8. Only when the gray ones
start coming in. Then, I won't hesitate.

In the summer, my hair usually goes about a shade lighter all on its own from the sun.

BTW, I see nothing wrong with brown hair <she says as she wraps a brown curl around her finger)

9. I "had" brown hair too...
Been a "red head" for years. Well, a bright auburn really. Such a lift, so much fun!

Have you used home coloring products before? It's not hard to do. Personally, I like L'Oreal's Preference Creme because it doesn't drip. I tried their colors just for brunettes and had horrible results. Live and learn. The hardest part is choosing a color.

11. I had blond highlights in my hair years ago...
But they've long faded.

I want to do something really different with my hair. Coloring seems to be the way to go.

12. Do some more
blonde highlights but have some of them bleached out really white then put a lavender tint on them. I did it a couple of years ago and it was really nice. Being as old as I am (50) I didn't go real heavy with the lavender but you could and it is really pretty, not crazy, just pretty.

15. Go for it!
L'Oreal also has three colors that are definitely red. I used one of them and absolutely loved it. Not sure why I changed because I really did like it and had many many compliments about it.

16. I was thinking of dying my hair grey
It would be more interesting than being one of the 20,000 people in my area with dyed blonde, red or black hair. That's if I choose to dye it at all, of course.

18. Well, in many cases, dyed hair looks horrible
Doesn't match the person's skin tone, doesn't go with the eyeybrows, etc.

19. I'd like to dye it red again
but I don't know how to do it without frying my hair or losing the color quickly (my hair is naturally blonde and doesn't retain color easily). Trips to the salon have usually ended in woe. Any suggestions?
