17. Yeah I know. BUT. I'm a huge snob myself! Oh, you've no idea...

...and I won't bore you with details. But becuz I AM a snob, I feel I can bring up summink like Alanis. I find it odd that I enjoy her new record as much as I do---apart from two or three songs from her previous work, I never really thought she was up to much, and figured that her on-and-on confessional/accusatory lyrics were more to the liking of those younger and more female than I. Indeed, I saw her once in concert, but only because Garbage was the opening band. But I like her new album and think it's her best one. Maybe it's cuz she's getting older, or I'm getting older. Whatever. It has considerable merit and I'm music-snob enough to go to the mat on this opinion.

and he likes her music and is well over 30. I didn't like her at first, but her cover of that Police song was pretty good. Garbage is better, IMO, but Alanis does have a certain presence.
