Poll question: BBQ: Steak or Sausage? |
|
In theory Steak is the better meat, yet sausages/Wurst are delicious. So what's your pick?
No, Tofu is not an option ;-)

4. Italian Sausage BBQ'ed. |
|
Most very nice, especially over mesquite chips.
Actually, one of my favorite things in the world is herbed Lamb Chops, over mesquite chips, with a spicy tomato chutney. <sigh>

6. Steak should be fast-cooked. Never barbecued. |
|
Sure, you can grill steak. Just don't barbecue it. You can berbecue sausages, but unles you're in Texas, I don't reccommend it.
Of course, if we're actually talking about grilling here (I love being picky about diction! ;)) I wouldn't know how to choose.
I want a ribeye AND a nice Weisswurst, thankyouverymuch.

I LOVE my Weisswurst heated in water, then VERY BRIEFLY placed on a hot grill to get some nice browning (but being very careful not to allow the casing to split).
Of course, one get almost the same effect by pouring the water off and tossing them in the hot pan.
I would never heat up the grill for this purpose. If I've already cooked my steak, though...:P
Of course, Bockwurst should never even TOUCH a grill.

The Wurst is peeled (or, but not in public, sucked out).
Anyway, I like mayonnaise on my fries and eat liver...

10. Really? Damn, I'll have to keep that in mind! |
|
No wonder I always need a toothpick....
I also like mayonnaise on fries and eat liver. Of course, I REALLY like the best of both worlds: Leberwurst!
Just had some nice Braunschweiger from the farmer's market this week. Mmmm-mmm!

11. I just don't get it. Steak is the most boring food on the planet. |
