4. Harrumph!
I wasn't a big fan until I saw her in concert in '89 or so. She puts on a GREAT show.

And he loves me :P

6. well than I'm happy for you
wanna hear some gossip? Word on the street here in LA says that the reason she cancelled the second show of the tour was that she was unhappy with some of the songs and had to quickly redo them - not that she had the stomach flu as was reported. Also that the ticket sales have been less than brisk.

But really...if you like her I'm sure you will like the show.

And Happy Birthday!

Your free to express your opinion, but your comment was rude. :-(

But that's just my opinion :)

New Orleans rocks. But in the summer?! It's a sauna there.

And I knew I could count on you to appreciate Madonna :)

11. Happy almost-birthday, Dookus!
You're one of the major voices of reason here, and I hope you have a good time seeing that moderately-talented bad singer.

An aside: "Like A Prayer" grooved the most out of her entire repertoire.

15. heheh
I agree, she's a moderately talented bad singer. But she's a great performer and a real live Diva. And she supported Wes Clark :)

17. Just a reminder...
This is the Reinvention tour meaning she messed with a lot of her classics and it may seem sacreligious to real Madonna fans to watch the butchering and changing of her songs, but if you don't mind the changes it should be a fun show.

And overtly political from what I hear which is a plus. :)

19. I don't care...
I actually like hearing different versions of a song I know well.

The first time I saw her she did the whole "Like a Virgin" number that was featured in Truth or Dare. Very different from the original, but that made it interesting. It was slow and sultry, she rose on a big round bed from beneath the stage, then the tempo picked up and got sorta crazy and she spent 5 minutes humping the pillows.

Now who wouldn't wanna see that?!

No, not even silver, just silverware. Madonna sounds much, much better!!!

(Savor it, to offset the silverware birthdays 20 years from now!)

14. WOW!
She's one of the few people I'd really like to see in concert! For most other people I just figure I'll buy the CD, but she actually performs! Happy soon-to-be birthday!

16. Woo hooo!!
I'd love to see her in concert some time. I've seen her concerts on video, but surely they don't capture the magic of the live show in any way.

She's one of the few pop performers I like - I think she has integrity and a huge amount of creativity, and only works in the pop world because that's what she likes and does, and not because that's the only place her talent will let her work. Every now and then, a real talented person ends up in pop music - like Michael Jackson. Madonna is one of them.

I think she's great! And 7th row seats! Incredible!!!

have fun!

18. Thanks
I've seen her twice before, and she really puts on a helluva show.

Some performers just do their stuff and leave, and some really really work hard. She's up there with Tina Turner and Springsteen as far as people who really put a lot of effort into a show.
