Whenever you can help people get rid of their popup ads on their computers
they love you. Small business owners hug you. The middleage man whose 13 year old daughter who is getting dick lengthening popup ads on AOL buys you lunch. I feel like Johnny Appleseed telling America about Mozilla. I'm worse than the faux Wendy's guy.
I challenge all crapitalists to compare Mozilla's business model to Microsofts's and tell why Microsoft is letting it's users down or what are we missing?

1. Get a window washer
Webroot makes a good one. Use it after every surfing session. It wipes out all the cookies that are embedded when you were on line. I have it installed and between that and aol's pop-up blockers, I rarely get pop-ups.

4. The Google Toolbar kills popups dead.
And it's free. http://toolbar.google.com

I use Mozilla myself, but there are some sites that won't work right unless you use IE, so I've got that toolbar protecting me.

11. then you just killed your system-- you can't truly
get rid of IE... It's built into the operating system now...

IF you did, download it IMMEDIATELY from MS.

13. Get Avant Browser
It's built on the IE framework, but more stable and secure. Compatible with all IE-configured sites. Ability to block all pop-ups, banner ads, even flash animation. Great browser.

I also keep Mozilla Firefox around as well.

Google Toolbar is useless. And it spies on your searches.

3. And still people will cling to explorer at all cost.
They'll attach all kinds of gizmos and do-dads just so they do not suffer the indignity of downloading Mozilla. Which is free and easy.

They'll post in your thread about the doo-dads, too.

It's insane.

8. don't try to uninstall IE
just ignore it. Until you need it, of course. Yes, some sites won't work without the damn thing.

Firefox will import your favorites automatically. It's slick and even on my Mac (im on my pc at the moment) I use it over Safari. I think you'll like it.

9. Keep IE, It even saves your IE favorites and you can keep both
One in a hundred times, Explorer works better than the latest finished Mozilla, so keep it in reserve.

12. You should see what women do...
...when I tell 'em about my custom HOSTS file that blocks virtually ALL pop-up and banner ad servers.
