5. I know myself very well
I did that whole self awareness trip a few years back. It was alright. But nothing makes me happier than money.

10. Schizophrenia

Okay, some call it compartmentalization.

You just don't think about all the suffering in the world, and you can be happy.

I once came across this title of a doctoral thesis: Schizophrenia, as Essential to Survival in Our Society. Never got to read the paper, but I got the point.

Don't worry, be happy.

:silly:

24. Distance
The most alluring quality in the universe, and one of the most obvious, is distance. Keep some distance from happiness. Treat it like a bubble, something perfect and therefore fragile in this world. Regard it as happiness past or happiness to come but don't try to seize it in the now; it will scurry away on the wave front of your desire, or burst as you grasp it.

relationships, community, world, nature & self

generally optimism helps tremendously - there's always an upside. always. find that nugget and grab onto it. the smaller it is, the more precious.

those are rucky's words of wisdom for the morning. Now I have to get dressed & scan groceries for 8 hours. It's actually a fun job.
