Poll question: Do you give in to painkillers?
When the world stresses you out beyond redemption, like today, when little Georgie is strutting around Europe and King Ronny is dead, and you know there will be a big BS brouhaha funeral, to which chemical do you turn for relief first?

2. Ibprofen for headaches and other aches
I don't consider it a good realxation type drug. I have perscription Xanax which I take if my anxiety gets out of hand (like having a panic attack). When I have intermediat levels of anxiety, like a frustrating day at work, I'll use recreational substances.

the various alcohol concoctions category.

and lower back pain sometimes.

Stress I try to manage with exercising, indulging in the arts, writing in my journal.

I have indulged sometimes, but I try not to drink too much if I'm feeling bad. It just makes my feelings worse.

The only way to get rid of a bad or depressing feeling is just to experience it head on. If you do that, the feeling mutates into something more managable. Taking any kind of drug interrupts that process.

edit: when I had my back surgery in high school I indulged in the morephine quite freely. :D

7. No
I don't like to feel disconnected to myself. I take Advil if I have a bad headache. I occasionally have a drink, but limit it to one or two. The only time I'd used strong pain killers are post-operatively.

9. Ibuprofin Plus Half a Chlortrimetron
if the headache has a sinus component. After drinking, I take this combination to prevent hangovers.

13. When I'm very stressed out, I take nux vomica of course
Settles a nervous stomach, helps me to sleep and just generally helps with that "overwhelmed" feeling. If I'm extremely anxious, arsenicum album works for that. For headaches, I take Advil.

14. If I had any drugs...
I'd take them and sleep all day. That sounds nice. I actually have some Benedryl somewhere. Maybe I'll take some of that and go snooze.
