Chanel Perfume. Do You Like It?
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 08:06 PM by cryingshame
Wealthy woman staying at my family's Inn came in wearing some perfume which, on her, was heavenly!

Asked what she was wearing & she said Chanel.

Not being a perfume wearer ( I use essential oils like Sandalwood), I was unfamiliar with Chanel.

Any Chanel perfume fans out there?

Anyone know what the mix is?

2. WHICH Chanel perfume?
The classic, of course, is Chanel No. 5. It's sublime which is why it's a classic.

Then there are No. 19, and Crystalle, and a whole bunch I have no idea of.

My personal favorites these days are vanilla-based perfumes such as Cashmere Mist and Must de Cartier.

3. Yes!
I like Chanel Allure, rather than the typical Chanel No.5 though. I am hardly wealthy, so it is used very sparingly, but it is so fantastic. Another one that I use is Burberry Touch. Most of the time, I like to wear this wonderful orange/apple/rose mixture that a friend of mine mixes up for me. It sounds odd, but it smells really good.

Thanks for allowing me to expose my frivolous fashionista side, lol.

5. I love No. 5, and my husband loves it on me :)
It's a classic, and one of my favorites. A former colleague of mine stopped by my office one day and announced, "I LOVE walking by here. Your office always smells so great! What perfume are you wearing?" For work, I just use the shower gel and body lotion, and put on the perfume for formal occasions.

BTW, Chanel No. 5 was Marilyn Monroe's favorite, too. ;)
