I'm such a fucking mess that I think my genitalia is actually going to retract into my torso for its own protection until the coast is clear.

I haven't 'ad it in months, but I don't want it, either. But then again, I'd like nothing more.

That is all.

3. Don't worry about it...
I have decided that sex is completely overrated at this point. The price is simply too much to pay i terms of the emotional and mental baggage that comes with it. Unfortunately, I have never been able to simply 'play the field' without conscience, so commitment is important to me (not necessarily marriage, but some commitment, emotionally and mentally). My second attempt just failed, and at my age, it is unlikely that I will really want to try again. You get used to celibacy, and that's the good news. I was celibate for 5 years once, just to prove to myself that I could have platonic, but emotionally satisfying relationships with women, without involving the physical part of it. It was part of my recovery program, and I am glad that I did it.

5. Divorce is the pits...
...I still have the job I got for the ex (due to moving to her location)...but that's another story. I know a woman (a long time friend) who says a divorced man(or woman) needs one solid year before he can be trusted in another relationship. She came knockin' at my door a year to the day after the divorce became final...good theory, but you may find something in the interim...good luck, CanuckAmok... your name alone makes me optimistic for you.

6. The necessities of life,...
,...food, clothing, shelter and love. No one dies from not having sex with another human being. A person's spirit/soul/life can suffer and perish without the support and affection that another person's love delivers.

At least, that is my personal experience and I certainly haven't mastered "happiness" or "fulfillment" or anything like that. I'm just another human being pressing through this difficult life.

7. Mmmmmm, maybe....
"A person's spirit/soul/life can suffer and perish without the support and affection that another person's love delivers."

I get all of those things from my cats. At this point, I would probably be pretty hateful to another human.

8. Then I now know why I've been alone all my life.
A person's spirit/soul/life can suffer and perish without the support and affection that another person's love delivers.

I don't know when it died, possibly after the sexual assault at age 15. Or maybe I just never had a soul? Just a walking talking naive zombie, ripe for abuse?

Who needs love anyway. Or sex. After being hurt so many times, it'd be easier to get castrated and take drugs that eliminates the ridiculous craving.
