Shouldn't the Jews and christians be more upset now ? |
Apparently they missed the messiah, so now the jewish people are two for two and the christians now know how the jewish people have felt for the last 2000 years.

3. Judaism has very specific criteria for the Mashiach |
And if any of them are not met then it is not the Mashiach. Unlike Christianity, belief in the Mashiach is not a central tenant of the faith. Worship of G-D is the central tenant, and Jews often feel Christians are flirting with idolatry by worshipping the Mashiach, or "annointed one." For example, Yeshua of Nazareth did not rebuild the Temple of David or restore the nation of Israel. Therefore he cannot be the messiah to the Jews.

So the messiah didn't come, and I slept through it, and will be damned for all eternity because I took a nap. OK. That's good to hear.

8. Long ago in a Gaglaxy far far away |
A group of people that were atheist except for a few deitys decided to forsake all other ghosts and only believe that there was one supernatural endity. These individuals spent the time from that point on waiting for the figment of their imagination to make an appearance and help them out with all their problems. Since it was a good yarn as tales go, many people around 2000 years ago were not only waiting for this messiah to show up, more than a few people would take a shot at convincing others that they were in fact the shy pooka. A few years after one of these people was dispatched by the authorities of the time a few guys that said they knew him tried a new approach and tried to tell people that they had missed the messiah and would now have to wait for the second coming. By all accounts on the television yesterday the messiah has indeed made a second appearance but has now left, again almost everyone missed it. Oh well, third times a charm, no offense to the hebrews.
