What exactly would I need if I wanted to have my own Internet radio station (i.e. a server that would provide streaming audio, preferably RealAudio or Shoutcast)? I don't have my own web server set up.

1. I suppose you would need a very fast internet connection... |
|
Or somone to do the hosting for your stream..I guess you would pay based on how much bandwith your host would allot for your streams...

Which is nice if you want to be legal and don't want to have to deal with things like royalties.
I find it very easy to use, and have had a lot of fun. This is the second station I've done through them.

for windows, a pc with winamp and shoutcast plugin. It streams out your winamp output. You can do it from your home pc, but you may need to mess with firewall (aka NAT or port forwarding). This will stream to mp3 players (winamp, itunes, xmms, etc)
