1 - It is RARELY socially acceptable for men to admit (or get caught for that matter) masterbating, at least in my experience. Ironically though, most men/women who think its 'disgusting' when they catch someone, probably do it themselves (and more than usual).

When my wife and I started dating, she told me she had never done it and I was shocked. To me it seemed like a perfectly normal thing to do. I imagine that most men would feel the same. I imagine if there is a stigma (I wasn't aware that there was anymore than for men) it must be imposed by women on each other.

I grew up in such a sexually repressive home, sex was never mentionned at all. I wasn't even warned about rapists.
