Giant Japanese toilet-maker Toto is introducing its luxury Neorest commode to the U.S. market. It's on display at the second annual D: All Things Digital conference in Southern California.

The Neorest john has a feature that may result in a cease-fire in the battle of the sexes -- a lid and seat that automatically open and close.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Neorest has a massaging spray and a warm dryer, too.

It can also sense what kind of waste you've left behind and adjust the flush appropriately.

What?

What is so hard about a guy putting the seat back down. I actually put the lid down every time, too!

My wife will testify if necessary, that i have NEVER, EVER left the seat up. Don't get why this is a problem. Just take the extra half-second and put the seat and lid back down!
