3. Cool... Why can't I ever get RNC mailings? |
|
I've been itching to send them back a brick. I did convince my father to send them back their stuff after he received a second mailing from them. He wrote on it "I used to be a Republican, but I would never vote for Bush."

8. I can't figure out why Hubby's name was on it |
|
he isn't listed on the business, and hasn't been registered repub in years
especially strange as his job was outsourced after 16 years with a hi tech company.

I wish I could recive one just so I could do something similar. Unfortunately I'm not on any of their lists, except for their blacklist, maybe.

10. My dad also got something from Bush the first ... |
|
just a few weeks ago ... it was something for support. My dad is NOT a repug, but lives in MT, which is repug country and just happens to be the state Racicot (sp?) was governor of for quite a bit. Coincidence???? I think not.

11. Here's a weird thing... |
|
Stories like this always remind me of it, so I thought I'd share.
I once got an invitation to a Republican fundraiser in our county. Reagan's name was all over it, implying that the event would benefit him. Two of my friends got the same thing. We were all very confused by it because we were 14.
These weren't addressed to "Occupant" or "Mr. Biv," implying head of the household. They were addressed to me, and my friends, personally, first and last name, and none of us had names similar to our parents. In one case, the girl who received the invite actually had a different first and last name than her parents since her mother had taken her step-father's last name while she hadn't. And, all our parents were ardent Democrats anyway.
Obviously there was a mistake somewhere, but it was a rather odd one. How did we get on this list? I still don't know.
My grandmother advised me to write them a letter telling them what I thought of the Republican party, which I did. This turned out to be a fond memory of my teenage years as it became a group competition to write the best complaint letter we could.

But I just got a thought, hubby is on the mailing lists of 3 different race tracks that have NASCAR
maybe that's the connection?

14. was this one of those infamous "hotdog" dinners? |
|
Or the type where you can't even eat the rubber chicken because the caterers nixed the cutlery at the last minute, due to * being so sensitive about the clattering noises when he's giving a speech?
Good response, AZDem!

Put the Kerry sticker on a piece of 1/8" steel plate and mailed it in. I'm sure repairs on their automatic letter-openers will cost a little change.

17. Go! Wear a "Worst President Ever" t-shirt. |
|
Time how long it takes for them to ask you to leave.
But who has $2500 for a chicken dinner with no utensils anyway?
