Were you an athlete in school?
I swam and wrestled. I wasn't a superstar, but I had fun.

I was a fat kid. When I tried to run around the track, the cheerleaders used to stand and laugh at me. Now I'm six feet and skinny, and the cheerleaders who laughed at me...well, they're still skinny and married to rich men. There is no justice!!!!

I was so indignant that I was required to take Phys. Ed. that I would do things like WALK around the track when we were being timed. I was very slim and fit, I just felt that it was an incredible waste of time. (What a little snot!)

On edit: Actually I didn't just walk, I stopped and picked dandelions.

13. I wanted to be a Raider
Football, basketball, track, baseball.

My 4X100 team school record stood for 22 years.

I was a shortstop from Little League on up but got hit in the face by an inside curveball and once the opposition found out I was afraid of it, I never saw anything else.

Running back and safety in football. I loved hitting recievers.

16. Former Athlete - Now Fatty
I am the great American. I was an all star in Track and Baseball (Ran 400m in 49.1 and hit .680 my senior year). I was good for HS, but I was never gonna make it in college against the real fast guys. So I went to a little D3 school, drank lots of beer, put on 40 lbs and became a lawyer.

I'm in slightly better shape now, (only because I drink less beer) but when I do drink I have been known to talk about the glory days of HS sports. Like when I hit a 3 run homer of a current MLB pitcher.

Freshman Year I was on the Freshman Team in Flagstaff, AZ. I pretty much lived in the valley most of my life but for 6 months of my life I lived w/ my grandparents in Flagstaff. Anyways the Grand Canyon Region sucked, on the reservations we were scoring atleast 40-50 points and I did pretty damn good if you ask me. I was a wide reciever but could've started several of the athletic positions especially running back(Our starter had legs skinnier then my wrists!) I played a little nickelback on defense when they needed me but not much. I was used to playing kids older, bigger, stronger most of my life so it was fun but kind of boring blowing by these teams. November rolls around and I get into some trouble, I get suspended off the team for the rest of the year which sucked because the Varsity coaches were talking about moving me up to their team which was huge for me! I was as good as alot of them but I didn't have that size so it meant alot. Anyways I tried to getting back into football but little luck, the next year when I was living back in Mesa. I joined the Football team there but I was late so they had their team pretty much set, I was bouncing around from tight end to reciever and I hated my coaches. They sucked out everything that was fun about playing football and I don't know. I quit. After the 1st semester of that year I left that school and went to a school in Tempe and talked to the athletic director, he said I wouldn't be eligible for my Junior year because of the fact I practiced with another high school. Plus grades were slipping and I eventually dropped out. I got my GED though and I'm signed up for a college courses, maybe I'll get another shot but I missed out on 3 years of organized team football so that hurts. Football has been a passion of mine since I was 7 or 6, it's my favorite and most fun activity I like to do.

21. Yes, I ran
I held 2 records in high school which I set my senior year that stood for 4 years, broken by one talented young woman who just finished off her high school career on the podium at state again. She beat my meet records too. I also ran in college and could have become a great runner. That's another story. Sometimes I think about seriously running again, but it is difficult. I don't mean because I have back problems sometimes either.

24. Baseball.
I was a lefty, so I pitched and played some CF and 1B. Had a lot of fun. Never went any further than HS because I'm not fast and my fastball was only 73-74 mph. :(

26. I played baseball for two years
The coach was a dick and it started not too become fun so I decided not to go out as a junior. I played baseball since I was 6 and I let some asshole (the coach) ruin it for me. I knew I wasn't going to go pro or even play in college but it was so much fun up unitl that point.

28. Golf, football, bowling
I was best in golf, #1 player on the team. Had a 38.1 average for 9 holes.

Damn I wish I had played basketball, but it conflicted with golf season and the golf coach persuaded me to concentrate on golf.

I was the type who was good in everything, great at nothing. It was the late '70s when ABC's Superstars competition was popular. I won our high school version of Superstars as a junior and finished second as a senior, blowing the 880 yard finale by 3 yards down the stretch. Still hurts.
