Its sort of like growing old. You just look up and one day its right there in front of you. This is post one thousand.
Last week President Clinton talked at the Book Expo that was held in Chicago. Early on in his speach he made a suggestion to everyone in the audience who had not already done this. He suggested that everyone take a little time to write down the history of their life, a little autobiography if you want to call it that. I would give anything to have something like that written by either of my parents or my grand parents. I probably know more about the geology of Mars than I do about my father's boyhood years and there is no one left living to ask.
So I took the Presidents advice to heart and today I began writing my own history. The audience is my son, or anyone else who might stumble on it and maybe care. Mine is not well written in that its already rambeling. That's OK, no one is being asked to publish it.
Anyway that's what I thought I'd devote my 1,000th post to. Its a reminder of President's Clinton's suggestion. Why don't you give it a try, you might enjoy writing it.
