Man, I Hope this Works! (Pic of the New Kitten!)

Still haven't thought of a name for her. (Whew, the URL took a long time to type in! Gotta be an easier way!)

1. Awwww...looks like my Puck!
Edited on Fri Jun-11-04 11:17 PM by Jen6
who I thought was a boy for her first six months, otherwise, I would have given her a more feminine name (although she really lives up to the one she's got, lol!):

What kind of personality does yours have? Do you have other pets? If so, what are their names?

(Oops-sorry the last photo is so large!)

BTW- save yourself the time typing URLs; just highlight, copy, and paste.

12. Personality?

Well, we've had her all of 4 or 5 hours. (well, six, now, I think...) and she's still pretty scared. We don't have any pets at present, but we have many many "outside" pets... several hundred birds (juncoes, pigeons, crows, starlings, etc) ten or twelve wild rabbits and about 300 prairie dogs. We feed them *all*. We have a lizard habitat in the back yard that I built for the little guys. It has tunnels between the stones (all flat sandstones) lovely places for them to sun and a nice large bathing basin (birds use it also).

We've had dogs, cats, birds, snakes... but we were "between critters" until today. This kitty needed us. She's totally exhausted! She was running around in the underbrush in the arroyo. A five week old kitten can NOT fend for itself! I don't know how long she was there, but she was a starved little waif!

The Missus and I have both done cat rescue and we knew exactly what she needed. Right now she's sleeping steadily. She'll wake up, eat, cuddle a bit and then curl up and sleep again. She was probably scared out of her little wits!

If we *can* keep her, we will. If we cannot, we will NOT just "take her to the pound"! We will personally re-home her, making certain the persons who take her are *RESPONSIBLE* and will keep her an *indoor* kitty! I do hope we can keep her, though. Missus is allergic, but has not been around cats for a while. We're HOPING! St Francis sent her to us! We'll do ur very best not to let St. Francis OR our little kitty down.

14. How about Cosette?
I guess I'm into literary names at the moment. For a while i was naming pets after composers, then famous artists. Right now, my cats are Miro, Oberon and Puck.
You sound like my kind of people! I have about 20 raccoons in the back yard (many have names), two possums (Guido and Fagan), Jays, cardinals, brown thrashers, etc. I feed them all too, though I know I shouldn't. They just started "sharing" the feral cats bowl, and I couldn't say "no" to those hungry brown eyes.

There are many new products on the market that allow mildly allergic people to own cats, from sprays to Ionic air filters. Good luck!(The kitten is already lucky to have found you!)

6. awwwww
although, from now on, i will always get 2 from a litter. 2 kittens ROCK!
i just got 2 last august. and they are almost 10 months.

on names. i like to use names , that nobody would name a kid now. although we did have a packer player named basil.
well, i was gonna name the female a spice or herb, but the best was pepper and the dog next door is pepper, so the girl became sybil and they are just like the falwty's. he's bigger, and she sttacks him.
i wish i could post pics.
do you like percy?

8. Awww...adorable!
So cute.

My neighbor always let her cats "name themselves."
She'd name her cats after some personality trait they had.

As a kitten, her male acted like a big dog with spiked collar, so he became "Spiker."

A female darted around the room like a shadow, so..."Shadow."

With mine, my b/w female was really lucky I rescued her in a city park from a dog attack, so she's "Lucky."

The little male tabby here (4 months) I got close to St Patricks Day, so he's "Erin."
