1. I never have, but I enjoy that kind of game ...
In fact, I was playing Civ III last weekend ... damn game sucks me in and won't let go!

I saw Tropico at BJ's for like $10 and thought about buying it but ... man, I don't need an excuse to be on the computer more than I already am!

2. I love it.
I find it truly hillarious that while my soldiers are running thru the streets executing my political opponents it plays happy and upbeat music. Like when I threw my political opponent in jail, and then had his family killed. That was most excellant. Unfortuantly soon after my 'reigns of terror' my economy tends to collapse. Which is really quite unfortuant.

but I picked up the expansion cheap, and downloaded the latest patch and it had some new scenerios.

I was playing one of the new scenerios where people become rebels pretty damn quickly and you have to hold out for 10 years without having your palace destroyed.

So I started out with like 12 soliders total and I thought that was good enough because in most games you dont need that many. Well after a few months of game time about 20 rebels attacked.

My guys seemed to be able to deal with them pretty easily, as they attacked my palace my soliders were able to kill all but 4 of them and they only killed 2 of my guys.

I was kind of suprised at all the bodies that were strewn about the ground, but after the attack I felt confident because my guys could definately outclass the rebels.

A few more months go by and I keep getting warnings that more people are joining the rebels.

Then they attack again but now they have about 40 people and I'm still with my 12 soliders. They didnt kill all my guys, but they were able to destroy my palace before my guys could take them out.

Damn right wing paramilitaries, I'll get them next time.

BTW Yeah the music is the probably the best part of the whole game, I can listen to that stuff for hours.

8. That's one.
But let's suppose that there is an active coup attempt and they're shooting up your palace. You can arrest them in the middle of an active rebellion!

9. Loved the game... I intend to hunt down the Mucho Macho edition
when I return to the states this summer...

I would love to see a sequel... and no the game that followed it wasn't really a sequel...

10. If you already have the original one...
you can also get the expansion and download all the extra scenerios from Mucho Macho on the website.
