Poll question: AD/BC or BCE/CE
AD = Anno Domini
CE = Common Era

BC = Before Christ
BCE = Before Common Era

1. I don't care either way. It means the same damn thing, really.
Each begins from a Christ-centered point. BCE and CE are putting lipstick on the same pig.

3. Actually, Its also a matter of accuracy...

Its generally accepted, Christ was actually 'born' 4-6 years before the calendar says he does... so AD and BC are in fact, innacurate.

4. Generally accepted by scholars, yes...
But ask a Christian when Jesus was born and he will say 1 AD.

5. I was relieved...
...when I noticed the usage of BCE/CE. I don't know why the use of Jesus to date eras made me so uncomfortable. :shrug:

7. I just noticed something though...
CE could mean Christ's Era
and BCE.. Before Christ's Era

Course, with that, we might need ACE... After Christ's Era?
