Just call me Mr. Grumpypants |
|
<whine>
I want what I want when I want it! </whine>
Just thought I'd get that out of my system. Fortunately that feeling is beginning to pass. Don't pelt me with bread rolls for bringing up something hokey, but a gratitude list is a great thing for getting me out of that mood. Here's my partial list:
I have a job. I have a place to live. I have clothes to wear. I have food to eat. I have friends and family who love me, and whom I love.
Need I go on? Share your whines and your gratitude lists, if you please.

...even I realize that alone won't be the answer to all my problems. But don't let that stop you from searching for someone for me!

9. Can you keep an eye out for one for me too... |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-16-04 10:41 AM by Guy_Montag
I could really, really do with one or even two.
On edit: Pagerbear has already volunteered (I think) but I play for the other team, despite his suggestion that I could go for sexuality re-assignment therpy.

12. You live in Durham ...I am so jealous |
|
That was my hanging out spot while I was Newcastle. Meet you down by the river? Down from the Cathedral---the little house?

what were you doing in Newcastle.
I've only been here a few months. So I've not really gone exploring yet. Well I've been out to the villages round Durham, just not into Durham itself.

17. I lived there for a year... |
|
Years ago..I worked for Mattel Toys and then took some time off, before moving back here. Met some good people from Newcastle and moved up there. I thought it was great! When did you move? Durham is my very favorite(very)town in England..it's warmer and it is a great University town. I really, really miss it. Had good friends there they..moved to London. Cheers to all of us single people!

18. I've only been up to Newcastle once so far, |
|
but I really like it, I'm used to living in cities, so I find Durham quite small. If house prices ever become affordable I would quite like to buy a flat up there.

Just think of it as an honorary knighthood. :-)

8. Hey Mr. Grumpypants! Could be worse. |
|
Could be raining.
:P
I'm happy I'm healthy, have food, and a place to live and friends and family and a nice martini glass and gin to put in it and a nice set of tea cups and plenty green tea and a wondrous partner and calvin klein jeans (not for the name, but cuz they're the best fitting jeans I've ever owned!) and a computer and a pair of eyes that work and hands that work and a set of taste buds that can enjoy the food I'm able to cook and share with the aforementioned friends.
Ah, what could be better. Other than to have all the above and a $400 million trust account.
:-)

I am grateful 1. A great friend and husband 2. My son 3. The rest of my crazy family 4. My God and Jesus 5. Just being on a planet with so many inst resting and diverse people.
