1. I'll never, ever, ever, ever go back to IE......................
If you haven't already, you should try Thunderbird, their mail client.

6. I've been using Thunderbird since 0.2
but I have yet to upgrade to 0.7. I should get around to that sometime soon.

Did you have any problems with your adress books when you upgraded (if you upgraded) to 0.7? Not that i don't back-up, but just curious...

10. I'm still using 0.5..................
from OE. I had zero problems importing my addresses. Didn't even know that 0.7 had been released. I'll have to check it out.

5. Loads...
It's faster, check out the quick search function (that is amazing), more stable.

They talk more about it here: http://mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/#new

15. The quick searches alone make it worth the download
For example: in the address bar I can type "google rabbits" (sans quotation marks) and it performs a google search. The folks at Mozilla have provided that ability for google and Dictionary.com straight off the bat, but you can also customize your own (for example I have added wikipedia.org and imdb.com to this list of quick searches, so if I wanted to look up a movie, i would simply type in the address bar "imdb star wars" and I would get the results on imdb).

20. I've had this feature for months already
in IE

As well as address aliasing, so 'd' gets me here 'w' gets me to the weather 'n' gets me news, etc etc

14. No popups...tabbed browsing...less spyware secretly installed...
...more secure....faster....harder to hijack.

Need anymore reasons.

And I worked for MS for 6 years and once I tried Firefox, I never looked back.

17. IE is dangerous to use
Mozilla is probably the most secure.

But if you need IE (since many sites are configured for it), try Avant Browser. It's built on the basic IE platform, but has many of the features of Mozilla. Blocks popups, too.

18. Mozilla Browser Address Bar Spoofing Weakness
http://secunia.com/advisories/11856/

Description:
A weakness has been reported in Mozilla, allowing malicious people to conduct phishing attacks.

The weakness is caused due to an error within the handling of URLs. This can be exploited to potentially trick users into supplying sensitive information to a malicious web site, because information displayed in the address bar can be constructed in a certain way, which may lead users to believe that they're visiting another web site than the displayed web site.

The weakness has been confirmed in Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7rc3 for Windows and Firefox 0.8 and 0.9rc for Windows. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Don't follow links from untrusted sources, but input URLs manually in the address bar.

21. Malicious sites
Try this trick. It involves a simple tweak of the HOSTS file:

http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/how_to_use_hosts.html

THe HOSTS file is like a directory for your browser, and malicious sites use it occasionally to redirect your browser to their sites (ever hear of CoolWebSearch?).

The modified HOSTS file will make your browser refuse to load those pages, and the one given here will also block many banner ad and popup servers.

It works great, but may slow down some sites slightly. And if there's a site on there that you use (Classmates.com is a good example of a useful site that is a banner ad whore), you can take it off the list.
