Some reporter remarked today that Al Qaeda made postings on its website. If this is correct, then why isn't someone in our most hallowed Homeland Defense Dept tracking them down via ip? It just does not make sense...
any thoughts?

On the other hand, I wouldn't credit anybody in this administration with the smarts to track down so much as a spammer in Hong Kong. These were the guys slapped full in the face by Phoenix memos and PDBs with the words "HIJACK" stamped across the front, and somehow, the planes still managed to fly into the towers.
They're reeeeeeeeeeal good at domestic surveillance (Hi, Agent Mike! :hi: ), but they're positively incompetent in dealing with overseas threats (real or imagined) in a practical, actionable way.
