17. this actually did happen! |
|
Someone (I forget his name, but he was an airline pilot) disposed of his wife's corpse by freezing it and putting it through a rented wood chipper. He directed the stream of the chipper into a nearby river, then put a number of branches through the chipper to clean it. Unfortunately for him, somebody saw him with the chipper on the night in question -- and divers later recovered a couple of his wife's teeth. So they were able to prove that his wife was dead and did not run off with someone as he had claimed -- even without the body.

When I worked at an emergency wildlife clinic, if I was on the night shift and things were quiet, I would make up diets for the baby hawks, owls, etc. for the following week -- I'd have to put dead mice, rats, or rabbits in the blender. It was an industrial-type one we'd bought surplus from some restaurant supply place.
Funny -- nobody ever wanted to use that particular blender for anything else. At least not once they knew what it did on Sunday nights.
