I don't get the word "bitch" comment either. I agree its offensive to use it to describe a woman, but if thats what you are tryign to do (offend the woman) then it seems useful. If I was trying to get under the skin of say Nancy Republican, calling her a bitch would seem to accomplish my goal.
At the same time, it use in pop culture is pretty clear. The scene in American Pie where Alyson Hannigan says "Whats my name bitch" is very funny.
I guess I haven't been lurking long enough to understand why the word bitch has some meaning here at DU.
