I guess "dammit" is more of a straight expletive -- if I was typing out what I say when I smack my knee on this desk for the 40th time today.
But if it's in a sentence, "Damn it, pagerbear, your polls aren't allowing me to get any work done," well, then it's two words.
Maybe it's just me...
