Anyone Watching 'Last Comic Standing'

[THUNDER HANDS]

It's on NBC right now, but it was also shown earlier in the day on Comedy Central.

This one comic totally killed, but wasn't one of the five picked to go live in the house.

Why?

Because he didn't fit the 'type' of comic the producers of the show were looking for, even though the judges - Drew Carey, Bret Butler and some other guy, all voted for him.

They picked these other, bland, cardboard comics who were okay for a few chuckles, but not much else.

It was such a ripoff that Bret Butler threw down her microphone and walked off after the show. And Drew Carey called it 'Bullshit'.

I really wanted to like this show too, since I'm into standup comedy, but now it's obvious that it's not about the comedy - but about who would create the most drama when they go live in the house.

This sucks. Comedy should just be about comedy.

and he easily did one of the two best sets that evening . . . probably the best, in fact . . . that he wasn't chosen shows what a fake this whole thing is . . . don't think I'll be watching . . .

apparently Drew and the panel thought they were the only ones voting, turns out the producers and some others also had votes...

odd that they weren't aware of this...

Jay London was great. He's such a presence.
