Yes Sir, I Can Boogie.
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 08:47 AM by Screaming Lord Byron
Mister
Your eyes are full of hesitation
Sure makes me wonder
If you know what you're looking for.
Baby
I wanna keep my reputation
I'm a sensation
You try me once, you'll beg for more.

Chorus

Oh, Yes Sir, I can boogie
But I need a certain song.
I can boogie,
Boogie woogie
All night long.

Oh, Yes Sir, I can boogie
If you stay, you can't go wrong.
I can boogie,
Boogie woogie
All night long.

No Sir
I don't feel very much like talking
No, neither walking
You wanna know if I can dance.

Yes Sir
Already told you in the first verse
And in the chorus
But I will give you one more chance.

Words to live by, dear friends. Words to live by.

2. Ra, ra, Rasputin.
There lived a certain man in Russia long ago
He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear
He could preach the bible like a preacher
Full of ecstacy and fire
But he also was the kind of teacher
Women would desire

RA RA RASPUTIN
Lover of the Russian queen
There was a cat that really was gone
RA RA RASPUTIN
Russia's greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on

He ruled the Russian land and never mind the Czar
But the kasachok he danced really wunderbar
In all affairs of state he was the man to please
But he was real great when he had a girl to squeeze
For the queen he was no wheeler dealer
Though she'd heard the things he'd done
She believed he was a holy healer
Who would heal her son

RA RA RASPUTIN
Lover of the Russian queen
There was a cat that really was gone
RA RA RASPUTIN
Russia's greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on

(Spoken:)
But when his drinking and lusting and his hunger
for power became known to more and more people,
the demands to do something about this outrageous
man became louder and louder.

"This man's just got to go!" declared his enemies
But the ladies begged "Don't you try to do it, please"
No doubt this Rasputin had lots of hidden charms
Though he was a brute they just fell into his arms
Then one night some men of higher standing
Set a trap, they're not to blame
"Come to visit us" they kept demanding
And he really came

RA RA RASPUTIN
Lover of the Russian queen
They put some poison into his wine
RA RA RASPUTIN
Russia's greatest love machine
He drank it all and he said "I feel fine"

RA RA RASPUTIN
Lover of the Russian queen
They didn't quit, they wanted his head
RA RA RASPUTIN
Russia's greatest love machine
And so they shot him till he was dead

(Spoken:) Oh, those Russians...

It was a shame how they carried on.

4. That song went down well in Russia, eh?
Well, I suppose Rasputin was a creature of the corrupt pre-soviet regime, so I guess it was doctrinally acceptable.

5. Dschingis Khan
Artist: Dschingis Khan
Song Title: Genghis Khan

They rode the fastest horses
left the wind behind
thousand men
and one man led the way
the others followed blind
Genghis Khan.
They galloped over mountains and desert sands
they carried desolation throughout the land
and nothing there could stop them in this world.

Geng

Genghis Khan
hey rider
ho rider
go rider let us follow
Geng
Geng
Genghis Khan
go brother
drink brother
dance brother

hear us holler
you can hearhis laughter ho ho ho ho
now and ever after ha ha ha ha
when he drinks his jug up at one draught.

He was the greatest lover and the strongest man
of his day
and we have heard that all the women fell for him
so they say
and he bred seven child in one long night
he had his foes a-running at his very sight
and nothing that could stop him in this world.

(There just weren't enough European disco songs celebrating historical figures!)
