8. OK, while Imitrex will do nothing for your manboobs... |
|
:D it is completely different from taking a painkiller...
from www.migrainehelp.com (peddling Imitrex) Most experts believe that during a migraine, blood vessels on the surface of the brain expand, causing the area around them to become inflamed and irritate nerve endings. This dilation (expansion) and irritation may account for the pain you experience during a migraine. It may also lead to nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and other symptoms associated with migraine.
IMITREX is believed to work by targeting the nerves and blood vessels that cause your migraine.
I tell you, NO PAINKILLER will do what Imitrex does, and if you seriously have a migraine, call your doctor right now, because some doctors will want to test the med on you for the first time WHILE you have your headache.
You will thank us for this, guaranteed! (and I make no commission off of Imitrex, though I SHOULD)

5. Have you tried Imitrex? |
|
It's been my lifesaver since it came on the market in 1995/6. I do the injectable "hit".
After 30 years of suffering with migraines, I was glad to find something that worked!

7. You're braver than I am |
|
I use the pills. My doctor used the inj one time on me, so he could monitor me in the office, and within 20 minutes, I was feeling like a new woman!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I didn't know if I could shoot myself, however.
Have you ever tried the intranasal? Some people swear by that.

9. When you are desperate (as I was) |
|
you would be surprised what you can do! I just shoot it into my thigh. 99% of the time, I wake up with a full blown migraine, nausea etc.
I haven't tried the intranasal, but I'll ask about it next time I visit the doctor. The shots work quickly for me and there is no way I could take anything by mouth, but intranasal might work and work even quicker than the shot.
Thanks for the tip!
