Argh!! I'm getting pissy
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 11:55 AM by Rabrrrrrr
The delivery people called this morning to say that they will be delivering my luggage within two hours, which luggage should have arrived last night after I flew home (it was on a different plane than me, but for a valid reason), and they aren't here yet! I have things to do, places to go, at least a shower to take because I stink...

Worst is, the luggage has some fresh WI cheese and bratwurst in it, which has now been in the luggage for about 26 hours.

:argh:

2. Well, the cheese is probably ok
but I don't know about the Brats.

Good luck getting the stink out of your suitcase. :P

4. Thanks! Guess I should say "HAD some fresh cheese and bratwurst..."
At least the brats were frozen, and the cheese is clamped to it...

We'll see.

5. Too late now...

but I always go back to the airport to meet the luggage on the later plane.

PITA, but far more reliable.

(and gets you out of that "voluntary separation" hassle)

6. Just what was that valid reason?
I thought they wouldn't take your luggage on a plane nowadays unless you were on the plane with it.

7. I was late to airport so they put me on another flight leaving immediately
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 12:10 PM by Rabrrrrrr
so the luggage had to go later, plus once I got to O'Hare to change planes, they couldn't have known in advance what flight I'd end up on. So it ended up on a later flight than I brought back to NYC, because I was able to get immediately onto a plane at O'Hare. Made for a nicely quick trip, I have to say - check in, go straight onto the plane. Get to O'Hare, go straight onto the next flight.

And I normally like it when my luggage arrives later (it's happened before due to United's stupidity) because then I can just go get a taxi without lugging luggage around. ;-)

8. Oddly enough
I've never had my luggage delayed or lost. I might be tempting fate by making that statement, but it's true.

9. Knock on wood, hopefully it won't happen!
Thankfully, it's only happened to me once at my point of arrival. But a number of times when coming home.
