Fruit---Bad, Mutant or Just a Lie
I was shopping for Produce this morning at the QFC and noticed they were selling Grapples. Looks like apples but tastes like Grapes. They were $6.99 for 4 small apple look alikes. I didn't buy them but was tempted to try.

However next to the Grapples were bags of Peaches marked down. I thought it might be nice to make some Peach Cobbler so I grabbed a bag. Now I was always under the impression that if you blanched Peaches the skin would slide off. Dropping these things into boiling water just made the skin rubbery and even more difficult to take off. Was I wrong to think that you blanch the fruit to get the skin off or were the Peaches mutants too. They tasted fine once I ripped off the skin But it kind of got me wondering.

Has anyone else had contact with mutant fruit?
