Just Fixed the Kitten's Dinner and... |
|
I had a smidge of kitten food on the tip of my finger. Without thinking, I licked it off. DANG that stuff tasted good!
So the Missus'll be mad at me, but I took some and spread it on a cracker and ate it. YUM!
It was so good, I almost went back for seconds! When I was a kid, I used to munch on our dog's Milk Bones.
The Missus says that's why I'm so furry!
Has anyone else here ever munched on their pets' food?

I was up earlier than Dad and ate almost all the GrapeNuts, so I filled the box with a couple of helpings of the dog's Purina Dog Chow which was the size and texture of GrapeNuts. Dad didn't care for it, there were consequences.

3. There are different standards for pet food |
|
...but they ARE DEFINITELY processed so that it's shelf-stable, with all of the germs killed. Pet food sterilization typically has more 'lethality' (that's from the microbes' point of view) than people food.
So if you get sick it ain't going to be from germs in the food.
And who knows? Maybe your wife will like your nice glossy coat...

Dosen't apply to Prions.
That, and I refuse to imagine what may go into it.

8. When daughter was a toddler, she would trade her Gerber's teething |
|
biscuit with the dog for one of his liver-snaps. The pediatrician looked at the label and told me to go ahead and let her gnaw on them if it made her happy. Dog was OK with it too, she also shared her spaghetti & meat sauce.

9. A guy I was seeing a long time ago would buy himself a can of |

cat food and eat it. He didn't do it that often, but I did actually see him do it.

10. Only when it is meant for human consumption! |

Tonight, we were out of cat food, so the cat got some canned tuna, the rest we seasoned and ate in sandwiches.
