What artists said what you "needed to hear" but only had a few albums/cd's
to speak it? Who spoke words to you in their songs that got into your gut?

Possibly the most politically angry band ever. They make Rage seem tame by comparison. And the lyrics are still relevant 15 years later.

OK, maybe she didn't burrow all the way into my gut, but she was great. Didn't record enough.

4. Joe South
INTROSPECT was a wonderful album, but South was far more prolific as a songwriter and studio musician than he was as a recording artist. What a shame.
