Have any Cub fans noticed that Ron is a lot edgier this year than he
has ever been before? He seems to get angrier when they screw up - more so than I ever observed before.

5. Oh! I was really counting on a win tonight - not only for the 3 game
series with St. Louis but to put them in the right frame of mind to go to the "Cell." Well, we have 4 innings to go - Go Cubbies!

4. Gee, that's a funny screen name for a CUBS fan.....

As long as Ron remembers where he is, it's a good game! :D

7. How very observant of you. I've been a north sider lo these many
years. The '59 sox were my hero's -after that, not so much.

8. In 1959 this lifelong North Side resident was a White Sox fan.
Except for the damn air raid siren Daley set off when they won the pennant. Scared the bejesus out of me.

Literally hid under my bed, except no nuke rained down on my sorry ass. Finally went in to ask the parents if we shouldn't go into the basement and duck 'n' cover. They had figured it out.

9. There hasn't been a lot to cheer about, baseball-wise
Since 1959!

Okay, Steve Goodman's "A Dying Cubs Fan's Last Request". Great song.
