1. Well it's probably been clearly implied 10 plus times |
|
Alot of people here are just loon's who don't see a distinction between a third-way center-lefty and a right winger.

...here on DU.
And I even got a slap up mention on an unmentionable repuke site. They were beginning to think I was a freeper as well. Of course this totally cracked me up, because that really is so far from the truth.
What ya see here in DU is truly the real me.

4. Probably 5-7 times. I'm a moderate liberal. I lean Left of center... |
|
But that qualifies me as a "conservative" in some people's eyes. Whatever. Call me anything but late for dinner. :o/

5. never, but I have taken a lot of shit, as have most here, |
|
for different posts.
"Freeper" is an hell of an epithet. Shouldn't be used lightly or without extraordinary proof (such as support of Bush).

7. I think it's a phase of the moon or something |
|
at various times it seems folks see Freepers everywhere and just about any reason will validate their suspicions: Too low a post count, - too high a post count for someone I've never noticed before, too centrist, too leftist, too polite, too rude...just pick a characteristic and rationalise a belief to fit.
On the flip side, - we do get little invasions from time to time, I know this is true. Still more posters are not Freepers than are, and it's unfair to poke probably innocent folk with figurative sticks.
If someone calls you a Freeper, please hit alert. It's not appropriate behaviour on these boards.

8. well, people hit "alert" on me all the time |
|
and i'm coming to appreciate it less and less.
so maybe some should just move on instead of being the on-line narc of every moment, should understand that there are folks with EXTREMELY different outlooks from those outlooks of oneself, extremely different outlooks even in the self-selected allegedly benign populace of DU, and try to make their own superproductive points without setting out so righteously to trash the cosmogonies and related accepted theories of others, that is unless you posit a self-evidently superior theory, and you probably don't.
Freepers: What's the worst they could do here - be persuaded?

10. It's against the rules for anyone to call you a Freeper |
|
and it's equally against the rules for anyone to let you know that they're alerting on you.
It's the job of those of us who moderate and the administrators of this site to determine who is truly disruptive and who is not and we strive not to make those determinations rashly or with thin evidence.
This is a "big tent" and all with Democratic, liberal and progressive goals are welcome here.
This forum was not intended as a place to debate or persuade conservatives. It's intended as a safe haven for those with a Democratic agenda. There are many, many places on the internet where conservatives can go for engaging debate, we aren't required to be one of them.

Your post asked what the worst thing could be in regard to a Freeper (Conservative) being here was, and I merely sought to inform that Conservatives are not welcome here.
If you have further questions about DU policy, I encourage you to post them in the Ask the Administrators forum.

I think I used a two or three word phrase like "patently absurd" and someone actually went over to Free Republic and found a thread that used the same phrase. Then they answered my post with a link to the Freeper one and tried to suggest we were the same person.
It was like saying George Bush and Jimmy Carter both talked about bananas last week, they must be the same person.

I think it'll be a good thing for people to look at this thread and bear in mind what is said. It would be appropriate to consider these things any time they get in a flame-war and use the "F" word.
