CONFESS!!!!! What movie have you seen the the theater the most???
What movie have you paid good money to see the most? And just out of curiousity, would you also consider that your favorite movie of all time??

I would probably have to say Pink Floyd's "The Wall" but only because I hung with a group in High School that would see that as our midnight movie instead of the other group which would see "Rocky Horror Picture Show" I've probably seen "the Wall" at least 2 dozen times.

But outside of the midnight movie genre, it would have to be the original "Star Wars" movie which I've seen about a dozen times and would be considered my favorite movie of all times!!

At least 25 times in the theater.

And it's definitely in my top 5 rotation of "best film ever".

At least 20 times for me...wonder if there are any movie palaces that can still show it in Cinerama?

22. I've never been able to sit through the whole movie
I inevitably fall asleep some time in the beginning after the guy makes the call to his daughter on the space video phone. The music makes me sleepy.

24. It doesn't have what you'd call a breakneck pace...
The first words aren't spoken for nearly a half hour after the movie starts.

But still... it was love at first sight for me since I saw it the year it came out (1968).

10. Empire Strikes Back...

The early matinee during the summer that came out was 75 cents, and I could get a coke for 65 cents. So, Grandma would give me a couple bucks, and I would peddle my bike down to the McSwain Theater to kill a couple hours. Then I'd take the rest and wander across the street to one of the last drugstores ever to have a soda fountain, and I got a limeade made from scratch.

Saw it about 30 - 40 times I guess.

It's not my favorite movie of all time, but back then, it was fairly cheap entertainment and a way to get out of the heat for a bit.

16. Back when I went to theaters, it was Rocky III
I don't go to movie theaters anymore, but I saw Rocky III in the theater at least 20 times. Mr. T's performance never failed to crack me up. The movie was hilarious, albeit unintentionally.

but I saw "Far and Away" twice in the theater when I was 11. My friends and I were a little obsessed with Tom Cruise and scene where he wears only a bowl. :blushes:

29. Rocky Horror Picture Show
which I saw in the theatre about 10-11 times, and innumerable times on home video. Other than that...in the theatre...probably The Fellowship of the Ring. I very rarely will go to a movie twice, but I saw that in the theatre four times.

I've seen Stop Making Sense a whole shitload of times, but was so altered every time that I remember nothing of it and couldn't actually quantify the number of times.
