3. I especially love the repeated need to "nuke 'em" |
|
whether mecca or just to nuke 'em into "glass parking lots". Yeah, that was funny 20 years ago, the whole "glass parking lot" bullshit idea.
it's painfully obvious - well, it's always been painfully obvious - that freepers are freeloading ignorant utterly pathetic excuses for human beings.
What a bunch of *@^%($# jerkoff useless loser filth they are.

8. I am composing a song right now using a vocoder |
|
on one of my Loops software programs. May I please use the following quote?:
it's painfully obvious - well, it's always been painfully obvious - that freepers are freeloading ignorant utterly pathetic excuses for human beings.
I'll post the result sometime in the future. Oh, yeah: I'll credit you for the lyric!

Don't even need to pay me royalties, unless you start making millions off it, in which I want at least a trust fund big enough to ensure I don't need to work from it. :-)
Thanks for liking the line!

But if you are into droning electronic noise, then you may like this track. The concepts is that I'm lifting random quotes (no matter how mundane) from the forums this evening to use in this song. Sort of a stream of consciousness thing. Your rant inspired me!
ON EDIT- No incriminating quotes, of course :)

But then, if they weren't, they'd be serving over in Iraq, wouldn't they?

the things they ignorantly condemn of their imagined Islamism are the leading precepts of christian fundamentalism:
womyn as subspecies; wanting the rest of us melted in fire and brimstone - soon....
and so on.

Christian, Muslim, and Jewish Fundamentalism are all the same religion. It's the fundamentalist believing himself to be the surrogate of God, if not God himself. (How narcissistic must one be to believe he converses nightly with God and can speak and act for God in all matters?)
The only difference is in the name they give their fundamentalism. It's like having five Mustangs of different colors: they only differ at the most superficial level.

11. how about not posting anything |
|
from freerepublic????? we cannot post from websites where posters say the same thing and sometimes worse. freerepublic claims not to be a "hate site" because they don`t have "symbols", but they are just as bad as the ones that do. who gives a shit what they think..........

One of the posts was just a picture of a Medieval crusader. Only someone completely ignorant of European history would not get the reference. By not removing the post, the operators of FreeRepublic are endorsing its allusion.
It would be the same thing if someone posted a gif or photo of a dead Republican with "one down, 100,000 to go" on DU.

We know all about them and what they stand for. They are irredeemable. Actually, I am registered there, as I know several other DUers are. I would challenge someone to find me, but I can't remember the last time I logged on. I don't get into it with anyone there; what would be the point?

...at least here, when folks disagree with you, they've got some kind of argument to back them up. You know, smart people who are wrong. :)

18. Actually, I have had some fun there |

When Al Gore made his MoveOn speech, this one guy on FR agreed with me that it was a good speech, uncharacteristic for Al Gore, who had always been accused of being "wooden." In this speech, he was passionate, relaxed and confident. This guy admitted this to me on FR. I certainly never admitted that I had voted for Al Gore, but I was happy to agree with him. He also posted a photo of a robot with Al Gore's face. I had to admit that he had a point.
As I said, I don't get into it with people there. I know that I can't change hearts and minds there, so what would be the point? I would only be banned.
The one thing that does irritate me about FR is the way that they cling to the past. They are obsessed with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. MoveOn! And they refused to believe me when I kept telling them that I had seen interviews with Hillary Clinton and that she was not running for president! They are pretty fixated on this.
I haven't gone there for a long time. Maybe I should go back and check out what they are saying now, but I don't go there to persuade anybody of anything. I agree with you. The smart people are here, on DU.:-)

There's a lot of cognative dissonance over there. I can't take it. After lurking there a few times I felt I had to remove my brain and wash it with soap.

DU, I always feel slightly unclean. Once, while I was on there, I was IM'd by someone from DU. I jumped a mile, like he had caught me out, LOL! I don't know if I have been there since.
