I went to a birthday party for a family member. I had to hear my nazi republican aunt carry on about immigrants and blacks. According to my aunt did you know 9 out 10 black people have prison records? LOL! I stopped refuting her a few years ago. Nothing gets through! The woman is nuts! I also didn't want to turn someones birthday into a day of political discourse. When i was leaving i heard her say "I know those terrorists are going to attack the RNC!" I turned around and said "One can only dream!" and walked away. Hehe!

These folks grew up pre-civil rights and were taught all sorts of nonsense about Blacks. Once Blacks started to move into the mainstream of American society, these whites recoiled in terorr. This was the generation of "white flight", moving out to the suburbs for the sole reason of avoiding Blacks and other minorities.

It's a combination of bad upbringing combined with culture shock from the Civil Rights movement.

She's totally full of shit about the 9 out of 10 blacks thing. However, instead of simply ignoring her, maybe you should come back with the fact that 1 in 3 black males have prison records. On the surface it should satisfy her racism, but you can then move in for the kill and explain the deeper reasons for the high prison rate of blacks (poverty, low education, stiffer sentencing, police profiling, etc.).

Of course, this is assuming she's capable of rational thought....
