Carousel Park's latest arrival came as a surprise to mom's buyers

Jenny the jenny came with a secret.

The county's equestrian specialists from Carousel Park bought the 6-year-old donkey last August at auction in Pennsylvania. They had wanted a couple, but Jenny was the only donkey left.

Turns out, Jenny was a two-for-one deal. Last month, the workers at the equestrian park in Pike Creek celebrated the birth of Dolly.

Dolly, probably the most affectionate and easygoing donkey the crews have seen, has stolen the hearts of folks who work and walk at the 217-acre park off Limestone Road.

Fluffy and gangly at about 80 pounds, Dolly prances about the pens, plops down for a quick nap, changes her mind at the trough and acts like an everyday toddler.
