Imagine getting pulled over by this car...

If I got pulled over by this car, I wouldn't stop laughing.

15. Question?
Did your Ty Rods break on your Pacer as you were driving it?

I remember driving down the street in traffic and my car fell down on one side and I thought that I went into a pot hole but it wasn't a pot hole my Ty rod had broken on one side so I got it fixed and then the other side gave way a few months later.

2. I'd ask if I could buy it.
Then I'd paint flames on the side. I love those little AMC deals.

3. Looks like my old 1981 Honda Prelude, on crack.
Probably cheaper than the usual 4 door F.O.R.D. Crown Vics...

7. If you got pulled over by this car...

You need a tune-up. I think these things can do maybe 50 in cool weather for about 10 miles before they throw a rod. :-)

8. Actually they have a long lasting inline six and a V8 was optional
I drove a black V8 Pacer with dual exhuasts one time and it was fun. A hotrod fishbowl.

10. I was being tongue-in-cheeky...

I just remember one a friend had. It was in horrible shape and literally would die on you if you ran it over 55 or 60 for more than few miles.

12. I think it did...

I remember their being a lot of room in there, so I doubt it was a V8.

This brings back memories. The worst and funniest thing about it is that it had a rust hole in the floorboard. We used to kid him that if the engine ever did completely die, or if the brakes went out, he could make like Fred Flintstone and foot it.

I think he paid like $200 for the thing and drove it from the time he turned 16 until he graduated HS, so he got his money's worth.
