Quick cure for my depression symptoms: quit my lousy job |
|
I feel about 250% better. I spent the weekend with friends in Michigan. They assure me that I'm not too demented to function, I was just in absolutely the wrong job for me.

I was having panic attacks, depression etc.
So I saved up enough money to quit, took off a couple of years, and now work from home.
Those back at the nutty job are still depressed/pissed off/alcoholics/whatever.
I don't earn as much 9yet), but much less BS.
Good luck. It can take balls to quit a job.

Poverty and sanity (hopefully temporary in the case of the former), I embrace thee.
Good luck to you.

I did the same thing a few months ago. I have only occasional panic about throwing my career away but nothing compared to the daily anxiety and stress I felt working in an unmanageable environment with impossible demands that never ended. I feel more at peace-and wish the same for you.

During my bike ride to work everyday I would turn around to go home. Then I would ride towards work. Then I would turn around to go home. It took 2 hours for a 45 min bike ride. Everyday was so painfully to go to that place. I quit and haven't looked back. Life is too short to work a crappy job.
