They're B-A-C-K!!! ..... cufflinks

There was a pic of Paul Bremer today (he was on the helicopter/plane on his way outta Iraq...can't find the pic now). Anyway, he was wearing cufflinks as well...that's when it first caught my eye as 'strange'...now 'these two'. I guess cufflinks are back in vogue for the 'power people'? :shrug:

1. French cuffs in the summer??? Oops, I mean "freedom" cuffs.

First of all, I don't like Blair's cufflinks. Too big and uninteresting. Second, shouldn't there be less and lighter fabrics in the summer months? Third, did these pansies all call each other on the phone and ask "what are you wearing tomorrow???"

Tony's cufflinks ARE way too big! Geez, you could put a freakin' map on links THAT size. Wait...maybe that's where the ME oil maps are? Or the Roadmap for Peace?

My guess is that it isn't the ME oil map because I imagine he has that memorized by now. The road map for Peace looks promising though...after all, it does go 'round in circles with no beginning and no end.

10. Can somebody let me know when cufflinks went out?

Because I don't really believe that they did. Well, maybe for some business casual type occasions (but these folks where pleated shorts, for God's sake, the top monstrosity in American men's fashion!), but proper dress shirts for important occasions do include cufflinks. Never really went away, as far as I know.
