3. switched to diet soda, started making my own lunches instead of
eating out, when I did eat out no desserts or appetizers, smaller portions, and walking to school more :-)

6. School can really put pounds on us.....
No time to prepare meals with any thought......starved by the time we break to eat and it usually is a fat-filled choice.......munching at the computer while conducting endless research.....time seems to fly at warp speed when writing a paper......


You have a great plan outlined! It really just takes a positive attitude and a conscious effort.

like Curves, but better ...

You need to break through the plateau ...

Start both : 1) South Beach diet 2) strength training

OUR gym costs less than a mcdonalds double cheeseburger ($1) per day ...

11. I'm 25
It took awhile to lose the weight- I was at 150+ in December- so it took me quite a while to lose the 13 pounds. I would fluctuate, have relapses, and never be able to knock it down permanently.

I swear, I thought I'd never be able to do it

5. Excellent!
I lost about 15 so far in the last 4 weeks. For me, I started walking, went on Weight Watchers, and cut out carbonated beverages. Good work! :toast:

with a PH from 4 to 3: .. neutral (water) = 7 ... Battery acid = 1

The sugar content of soda ranges from 9.3 (coke classic) to 11.0 tsps (Mountain Dew) ...

Think for a moment about this: ..

Fill your cereal bowl with cereal and milk ...

THEN put: 1 .. 2 .. 3 .. 4 .. 5 .. 6 .. 7 .. 8 .. 9 .. 10 .....

TEN TEASPOONS OPF SUGAR into your cereal ...

THAT is the average sugar content of ONE 12 ounce soda ....

Drink two sodas ? ...

Three ? ...

Big gulp ? .... 44 ouncer (34.1 tsps of sugar)??? ... two of them (68.2 tsps of sugar)? ... three ? (ONE HUNDRED AND TWO tsps of sugar) ???

geeeez .... we have been poisoning ourselves for YEARS and YEARS with soda ...

Imagine what the insulin spike looks like as that sugar hits our bloodstream ....

No wonder diabetes and obesity is on such a tear through the population as a whole ...

People ? .. DUMP THE SODAS ! ...

Drink club soda with a twisted lemon wedge instead ... Its cool, refreshing .. and HEALTHY ......

15. You can clean your car batteries with cola
the guy who came to charge my dead battery cleaned the corrosion off it with a can of cola. He said a baking soda and water mix works well too.

I have lost 10 pounds since april just from walking more and eating less. I have moved to a new city and will not be driving anymore at all, so I'll be getting a lot more exersize that way.
