I fixed the car stereo!!!
Turns out one of the screws used to mount the new receiver to the mounting bracket was interfering with the antenna. I moved it over to a different spot, and the radio magically started working.

Now, I can't get the climate control panel back on. Doody.

1. Well, at least you fixed one problem on your own
which is more than I could do. If it were me, I'd ask for help.

3. I assure you, I asked for lots of help.
My father came over voluntarily last night. I didn't even have a choice in the matter, there. The solution was suggested (sort of) by him in an e-mail this morning.

Got everything back together, by the way. It was part of the mounting bracket that was stopping the panel from lining up correctly.

4. You are very lucky to have a father that knows something
about cars. Count your blessings. My Dad didn't know the engine from the trunk and refused to even pump his own gas.

Glad to hear that things worked out. This is the sort of thing that lasts forever and can truly drive you crazy!

5. Indeed. I could have done most of it...
...but he could do it better. I didn't have all the equipment.
