Fu Manchu fans check in
Any of you out there? What's your favorite tune? Or any stoner rock fans in general?

1. They're a bit silly for my tastes, but they're o.k........
I like most of the songs off of King of the Road.

I like Stoner rock but prefer it more on the serious side (or at least as serious as you can take any stoner rock).

I like High on Fire a lot but they are almost much more metal than most in the genre. I loved Kyuss when they were around. I liked Sleep more in theory than in practice (a 1 song, 50 minute album about pot?!?!?! How can you go wrong?!?!). Electric Wizard, Nebula, etc. All good stuff if I'm in that kind of mood.

2 of my favorites are Orange Goblin, and Spirit Caravan since both of those bands have a little more kick to them than some of the others in the genre.

5. Nebula's last disc was ridiculous
That's one thing about most stoner rock...it doesn't take itself too seriously, and can get a bit redundant. I have to say, some of my favorites are Kyuss (of course, the whole desert rock scene included), Alabama Thunderpussy, Goatsnake, and while the Hellacopters are more of a punk band, them as well.

6. That's why I like Orange Goblin....
They're less serious than some of the others, but not silly or bordering on parody like Fu Manchu.
