What is this LG company that seems to have their name |
|
on everywhere these days. "Life is Good" or something. I have NEVER actually seen a product with this name anyplace. I first noticed it on the marquee of the Wiltern Theatre. I am I out of the loop?

2. LG is a Korean Conglomerate |
|
It used to be Lucky + Goldstar. Lucky was in extractive industries oil, gas, mining and maybe even heavy industry like ship building. Goldstar was in electrical businesses, computers, radios, fans, rice cookers, appliances, TV's, VCR's, stereos, office equipment. Damn near anything with a power cord or a battery. The company also has extensive real estate holdings that include at least one Seoul hotel.
They've been selling products in the US under the Goldstar name for years. The use of the LG is new as the two halves didn't seem to be too well attached in the past.
